Kat Scarlet Custom Tattoo and Art

Kat Scarlet creates individual custom tattoo pieces in a private, appointment only studio in Melbourne.  After studying at art college, Kat completed an apprenticeship in Tattoo several years ago and has continued to work to develop her own style, taking influence from fine art forms such as lithography, etching, painting and portraiture with nods to street art, low brow and old school tattoo forms.  The vast majority of Kat Scarlet's work is commissioned and designed through consultation with clients to create something unique, aesthetically engaging and meaningful for the bearer of the tattoo.     Kat Scarlet works to move away from traditional modes of thinking about tattoo and treat the process as an experiment in art.  People come to Kat because they like her style and are open to allowing her the freedom to create a piece based on the theme and ideas they have discussed with her.
